Grandkids...

We had all the grandkids but three over on Friday. Braden was home with Amy and Julie's Girls, Emma and Sarah were at a dress rehearsal for their dance recital Saturday night. The rest of the kids still had a great time in their absence. Grandpa won hearts with animal cookies...they are always a favorite and Grandma and Grandpas house.

How could you resist taking a picture of this kid!!

Timmy is always all smiles...okay not always!
Maddie loves the toy box...what kid doesn't??

Teagen and Maddie make great music together!!

Alex had to show off his piano skills to his cousins!!

All of the kids playing a game with Grandma

I love Timmy and Maddie's smiles in this one!

When Julie and Ron got back with the girls they had to change out of their dance clothes into their PJ's. Sarah's hair was so great...I couldn't pass up the picture!! I don't think she wanted her picture taken.

A Surprise Visit...

Friday afternoon we got a call that Jesse and his family were on the way! So we skipped out on dog class and went to Justin's parents for a BBQ.

Teagen was so excited to see his Grandpa Jerry!!

Crazy JD came around the house to great Jesse on his lawn mower. I'm not sure who enjoyed it more, him or Maddie.
Alex had fun chasing them around the yard...That kid finds entertainment anywhere!!

Maddie got a little scared on the lawn mower and turned herself around to hold on to her dad...I love her little hands draped around his neck!

A Little Camera Fun...

Julie and Ron were gone on Thursday, so Grandma got to bring the kids over for piano lessons. Sarah saw our camera and said, "I want to take a picture". I first took a close up of her, to show her how to use the camera. I then put the camera around Sarah's neck and told her to go take a picture of Grandma. She did as she was instructed. Mind you...this is an SLR camera so you have to look through the eye peice to take the picture. You can't just take what you see on the screen, because there is no picture displayed on the screen until you take a picture. She did a pretty good job, so I thought I would share Sarah's picture of Grandma.

I was in the office giving Emma piano lessons when I hear...... "Sarah, go put that away. That camera is expensive and it isn't a toy!"

News to Grandma........Justin told her to do it!!

I love you mom!!

Surprise...

Okay...so here's the rest of my post from last weekend in La Grande. We had lots of extra time since our visit was a surprise and the show didn't start until 8p. So on our way we stopped at the Oregon Trail Interpretive Center, because neither of us had been there. It's pretty amazing to think of what these people went through...let me just say...there is definitely a reason I was born into this generation...I would have made a terrible pioneer!!
There was an old sofa in one of the rooms, set up in front of one of the many videos that continuously play...we didn't stop and watch any of the videos, but I had to try out the sofa....in case you're wondering...it wasn't very comfortable!!
There were some great quotes all over the place, hanging from the ceiling, and all over the walls. This quote would have come right out of my journal had I been on the trail!!

Outside you can walk out to the original Oregon Trail and walk in the wagon ruts. Anyone who knows us, knows we did not participate!! They've got 4.2 miles of trail, that's about 4 miles too much for me, my days of being in shape are long gone!!
When we got to La Grande we stopped by the Wheelers house. Denise and Kenn were the only ones who knew we were coming, so we were hoping Jillian wouldn't be home. After we got there, Denise had to go down to the school to get ready for the show, and Jill came home. I saw her van drive up as I was headed out the door to get some of our stuff from the car. I shut the door and ran to the back of the house. Justin and I hid, holding our breath until Jillian left. Apparently if someone were parked in their driveway, robbing their house, she would just yell "Hello" and when no one responds, just go about her business.
When we got to EOU Jenn was on her way to change for the show, lets just say...she was very surprised, and screamed VERY loud!!
Because Jenn and Jessica are leaving at the end of the school year, they were training Kenn in the Ticket Booth.
When we Denise called to confirm if we were coming I suggested she tell the girls that she wanted to make them breakfast Saturday morning so that they wouldn't make any plans and would be available to visit. Jenn didn't listen and didn't get a sub for the class she was teaching, I guess she's listen to her mother next time she tells her to get a sub!!
We had so much fun visiting and wish we could have stayed longer. Now that all of the girls are leaving, we're going to have to coordinate our visits!!
