Our New Fish...

One night last week Justin found a free 10 gallon tank on craig's list and decided he needed it (why...I have no clue!) With his new tank came the biggest "sucker" fish I have ever seen! I've been trying to get a picture of it that would really show how big he was, thus the Finding Nemo DVD in the picture. He's at least 4-times longer than all of our other fish.

New Calling...

Our ward split, again, (2nd time in 5 years) about a month ago and we are back into the Middleton 4th ward. I have been thoroughly enjoying my time being calling-less (I'm sure that's not a word), but I knew it was too good to last too long. Last night I got "the call" from the first counselor in the bishopric asking me to meet him at 1030am this morning...I'm sure he's not aware that I'm usually not up at 1030am let alone dressed for the day, but I suffered through getting up early. Justin was speculating last night on what it may be and suggested ward choir director...my response...oh no! He was only half right, I'm the new ward chorister. We'll see just how effective that conducting class I took in college really is!

Mona Lisa..

Justin made reservations for dinner at Mona Lisa, a local fondue restaurant. We love this place, but it is WAY too expensive to go very often. For our anniversary, Grandma Geri gave us a gift certificate and it took us a month to find time to use it. We ordered the four course fondue for two. The first course was a cesear salad, the appetizer was cheese fondue with apple slices, grapes, bread, and vegetables. For the main course they bring a grill right to your table where you get to grill your own meat, we got the traditional plate which included chicken, pork, fillet Mignon, shrimp and alligator brawts (they were great!). For dessert we had milk chocolate fondue with strawberries, apple slices, cheesecake, brownie bites, pretzels, cookies, pound cake and marshmallows to dip in it...YUM! After all that food you kind of roll out of the restaurant. If you haven't been yet, we highly recommend it! I didn't take the camera so here are some pictures from their website.

Homemade Noodles...

Thursday night we attempted to make homemade noodles. Why on earth would we decide to do something so domestic? Because the meal we had pulled out of the freezer for dinner said 'serve over rice or noodles.' I don't like rice and the only noodles we had were spaghetti, fettuccine, or jumbo shells, so we thought, "hey we can make noodles." So we pulled out the trusty Better Homes and Gardens Cookbook, this cookbook is a staple for every kitchen!! The noodles turned out great, and the recipe was relatively simple. I say relatively simple because I didn't have to do the hard part, the kneading and rolling the dough out...Justin did that for me!! The only thing we could have done differently to make them better would have been to add some basil to the dough.
