Disney World 2008...

Another year, another trip! We just got back Thursday from Orlando and 78 degree weather. We went from shorts and flip flops to snowpants and parkas overnight. We had so much fun! Justin made us get up each morning at 6:30 so we could be at the park of choice when it opened. Then he would have us run...yes run...through the park for the first ride of the day. And I have to mention here, I am in no where near the shape I should be in!! It's time to hit the gym!!
Here are some of my favorite's from last weeks trip...
Our favorite ride was Expedition Everest at Animal Kingdom

And yes, Justin was crazy enough to take pictures during the ride! We found this empty trail that leads right up to the Tree of Life, this thing is amazing!

Salt Lake City....Five Years Later

Wow, it’s crazy to think we’ve already been married five years!! Well, not officially until Sept. 6, but close enough. We went to Salt Lake for our honeymoon, so we decided since it was a long weekend, we would go down for a couple of days to celebrate our first five years. We went to Lagoon the first day, but decided not to carry around the camera…so no pictures from Lagoon. :( (Sometimes I wish we had a smaller camera to tote around than the Canon!)
The next day we went to Hogle zoo. The coolest animal was the white alligator, but we’re still not convinced it was real…we never saw it move or blink!! The most fun animal to watch was, Acara, the orangutan baby.

After the zoo we went down to Temple square to have lunch and walk around. We also stopped and watched the Joseph Smith movie that is playing in the Legacy Theatre….If you haven’t seen it yet, it’s definitely a must see.

On our way home we stopped in Twin Falls to take some pictures of the temple under construction.

San Francisco

My mom and I decided it was time to get away for the weekend. So we took a couple of days off work and flew to San Francisco. Justin was a little bummed having to stay behind and work, but promised not to get jealous. We stayed with my Uncle Bob and Aunt Debi in Benicia. It was great to get away and relax. Friday we spent the day with Lindsay and Jaylin just hanging out around Benicia. We had dinner at Venticello's with seats out on the sidewalk. Jaylin couldn't sit down to eat. She was too interested in the belly dancers next door. Saturday we went into the city. We went down Lombard Street and stopped at Fisherman's Wharf for lunch and some sourdough bread. The on to the three-story Shoe Pavilion for some shopping. It was hard not to walk out with three or four pairs of shoes, I was able to narrow it down to just two pairs. One for me and one for Justin. By the time we headed back to Benicia the fog had come back in so I thought we weren't going to get any pictures of the Golden Gate Bridge. Luckily it wasn't as bad as it had been in the morning and we were able to get a few shots. The only thing we missed out on was a Giants game. They were out of town for the weekend. Next time we'll have to make sure they're in town before we plan our spur-of-the-moment trip.
