Seattle...

Friday I was scheduled to go to a meeting in Seattle between Reservations Management and the Union. I was a little nervous that Jeremy and I wouldn't make the flight because it was oversold by one person. We did get on, and after takeoff the flight attendant comes back and tells us (since she knows we're employees) that we're returning to Boise, our thought was "great, now we have to go to work!" The pilot came on a couple minutes later and let us know that we indeed had a small problem, and that it was nothing we couldn't fly with, but we did have to return to Boise to get it fixed. He also said we would have to circle Boise for a while to burn off fuel. We were pretty depressed at this point!! A few minutes later he comes back on and says that maintenance has informed us it will take and hour of circling Boise to burn off enough fuel for a safe landing because we're a full flight, full of fuel. So instead they gave us permission to fly to Seattle, at a higher altitude and slower speed. Off to Seattle!! Our flight that should have been an hour and a half turned into a two hour and ten minute flight. When we landed we had 20 minutes to get to our meeting! Luckily the corporate office is minutes away from the airport and Celeste was there ready to pick us up!
This picture was not taken upon decent when the landing gear door would normally be open...but at cruising altitude!!

Because of the situation the pilot warned us we would be met by emergency personnel, but not to worry, we had no reason to suspect a less than normal landing.

You can't fly over Seattle without getting a picture of the city! Unfortunately we weren't paying attention and missed a shot of the Space Needle...Maybe next time!
