With only three weeks left in class, Justin has got to start working his dog!! Friday we came early and went to the park in Payette for dinner. During the Apple Blossom Festival there are vendors set up in the park all week long selling hand-dipped corndogs, home made fries and fresh squeezed lemonade. Yumm!! Mom brought Lucy to class, and as much as Lucy enjoyed getting to go somewhere, I think she'd had enough after the first hour!
Every time Justin puts Lexie on a down stay, she immediately flips over and begs you to rub her belly.
There was a large group at the park having a bar-b-q which proved to be a great distraction for the dogs. While we were on break, a little boy came over to check out Abby and Lucy.
We had the cat food and tennis ball test this week. April sets out open cans of cat food on a table cloth layed out on the ground and they all have to just lay there and smell it...by the way, dogs love cat food!
After they're tortured with the cat food, we started throwing a tennis ball over their heads. The theory is, if your dog doesn't like cat food, they'll like tennis balls!!
Lexie, Max, and Abby hanging out at the end of class.
